Dawn Cook has been a member of the American Association of Nurse Life Care Planning since 2012.
She has been a Registered Nurse since 1979 when she graduated as the Valedictorian of her Nursing class in Victoria, British Columbia. She has worked in Home Care and Acute Hospital facilities for over 30 years.
Dawn is certified as a Lifetime Nurse Care Planner, Certified Nurse Life Care Planner and Certified Life Care Planner.
As such, Dawn has authored expert reports including life care plans or rebuttals since 2012.
Dawn developed a special interest in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome while attending the American Association of Justices’ annual convention in 2013 in San Francisco. She attended a half-day of classes with the special litigation group for CRPS/RDS and discovered that attorneys were very interested in learning more about CRPS.
Dawn was was invited to speak at the AAJ’s 2014 convention in Baltimore.
Since then, she given presentations about CRPS to the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, the Executive Forum of Nurse Life Care Planners and the society of Pain Management Nursing.
